The original children’s story has proved extremely popular over the past year. Hundreds of copies have been given out for free on the line's services by booking office staff at stations on the route and at numerous Community Rail events, including visits to local primary schools.

The Leeds-Morecambe Community Rail Partnership (the Bentham Line) were delighted to receive the splendid news, from the Community Rail Network, this week, that they have been shortlisted for all three of the entries they made earlier in the year to the National Community Rail Awards 2022.

Students participants in Northern Train’s ‘Year in Industry’ scheme for 2021/22 have been placed in a variety of departments and in different locations. The ‘Access for All’ project has given students participating in Northern Train’s ‘Year in Industry’ scheme for 2021/22 the chance to come together and work as a team. This is the fourth successive year that the Bentham Line has supported the students.

Government White Paper, the Williams-Shapps Plan for Rail, released which proposes a wide range of developments to reinvigorate the rail industry.
21-05-Flying Scotsman Brings Out the Crowds
Local communities along the Bentham Line turned out in strength to view a test run of the famous steam locomotive Flying Scotsman.
