22-09-14 Seaside visit for refugees

On 24th August 2022 Northern Trains and the Leeds-Morecambe Community Rail Partnership (CRP) supported the Refugee Action Group based in Bradford by offering a trip for families along the scenic Bentham Line to the seaside at Morecambe.

22-09-12 A Grand Day Out at the Seaside

The original children’s story has proved extremely popular over the past year. Hundreds of copies have been given out for free on the line's services by booking office staff at stations on the route and at numerous Community Rail events, including visits to local primary schools.

22-07-14 ‘Access for All’

Students participants in Northern Train’s ‘Year in Industry’ scheme for 2021/22 have been placed in a variety of departments and in different locations. The ‘Access for All’ project has given students participating in Northern Train’s ‘Year in Industry’ scheme for 2021/22 the chance to come together and work as a team. This is the fourth successive year that the Bentham Line has supported the students.

22-03 At the Heart of the Bentham Line

Early in 2020 both Clapham-cum-Newby Parish Council and the Friends of Bentham Station (FOBS) approached the Leeds-Morecambe Community Rail Partnership (LMCRP) with a view to installing a ‘public-access’ defibrillator at their station.
