Shipley
Hello and welcome to Shipley station. This is a large station with 5 platforms split across a triangle formation.
Here the station can be seen from Station Approach. Please allow up to 10 minutes to change trains at this station.
Here you can find steps up to platform 1. There is also step free access from platform 2.
Shipley has five disabled parking bays located outside the ticket office. Be aware of the cobbled surface.
There is a ticket office to purchase tickets, which is open from 6:10 to 19:15 Monday to Saturday and 8:45 to 18:00 on Sunday.
Platforms 3,4, and 5 are located around the ticket office building.
Platform 5 is for services between Bradford and Skipton in both directions
Platform 5 is home to a refurbished waiting room and accessible toilets.
There are two toilets, and baby changing facilities are available.
Platform 3 is for services between Bradford and either Leeds or Ilkley. LNER Services also call here occasionally.
There is an underpass that can be used to get between platforms 3 and 4.
Platform 4 is for services between Leeds and Bradford and Ilkley and Bradford.
The easiest way to access platform 4 from platform 3 is via the lifts which take you up to the footbridge.
Platforms 1 and 2 are a noticeable distance away from the other platforms, and they are accessed using this path outside the main ticket office.
It is a 120m walk from the ticket office to platform 2 and an additional 60m to get to platform 1 via the footbridge.
Platforms 1 and 2 also have lifts up to a footbridge to allow customers to change between platforms.
There are also steps up and down from the footbridge.
Platform 1 is for services towards Leeds or Ilkley and Platform 2 is for services towards Skipton and beyond.
At the far end of platform 1 there are the steps down to Station Approach which we saw at the start of the tour.
