Bare Lane

Bare Lane station is on the outskirts of Morecambe. Trains travel in both directions on both platforms at this station.

The station car park is located off the B5275 Bare Lane on the side of platform 1.

The station car park has marked bays and cycle storage facilities. There is a ramp up to the platform at approximately three degrees.

As trains arrive from both directions on both platforms at Bare Lane, please arrive on the platform you train will depart from in good time.

Platform 1 is used for the majority of services to and from Morecambe and Lancaster.

Platform 1 has a waiting shelter and a passenger information screen. Please note it is an above average step up to the train from the platforms of up to 34cm.

There is also a pedestrian entrance to platform 1 by the level crossing at the end of the platform.

The only way to cross between platforms is via the road level crossing. Double check which platform your train is calling at before the crossing closes for the arrival of a train!

As you exit platform 2 a bus stop can be found on Bare Lane.

Platform 2 is accessed via a ramp of 7 degrees. Please be aware that the entrance to platform 2 is narrow.

Very few trains pass through Platform 2 but it is used for occasional Morecambe services and Heysham Port services.
